Restorative Crown Lengthening

Teeth can develop deep decay or even fracture at or below the gum line. In this case, your restorative dentist is generally unable to restore the tooth with a crown or bridge. Crown lengthening can increase the amount of tooth structure above the gum line, giving the restorative dentist more tooth structure to work with.

During this procedure, excess gum and bone tissue is reshaped to expose more of the natural tooth. This allows your restorative dentist to properly repair your tooth.
